Thank You to All Who Contributed to the PeopleStrategy Charity Golf Event
On Monday, December 7, PeopleStrategy hosted a golf tournament and raffle to raise money for the the Scarborough and Friends Foundation (SAFF). SAFF raises money for families with members who suffer from chronic, debilitating or terminal illnesses. Proceeds (grand total coming soon!) from this event will go to Trey Mills and his family to help them offset expenses involved in caring for Trey.
Trey and his mom, Summer, were able to come out to the event and Trey definitely looked like he was having fun on the course and during the raffle when he helped draw the winners (see list below).
Given that PeopleStrategy CEO, Randy Cooper, won the grand prize custom-made Incredible Hulk chopper, there may be a 2016 event in store!

Meet Trey Mills
Now 4 years old, Trey was born with a rare overgrowth syndrome called Proteus. There have been only 200 known cases of Proteus Syndrome in the world. The overgrowth can cause differences in the appearance and growth rate of various body parts and is typically asymmetrical, meaning it does not affect corresponding body parts similarly. In Trey’s case, it has affected the entire left side of his body – inside and out. Because of this,Trey has had both his left leg and left ring finger amputated.
In his short lifetime, Trey has endured over 400 doctor appointments, 16 sedations and nine surgeries. Every three to four months, Trey undergoes a complete internal MRI to determine if his internal organs are growing. In July, Trey was diagnosed with severe lung disease and is currently waiting to go on the double lung transplant list in Missouri.
